Unlike traditional skin care, which often focuses on strong exfoliation and fruit acids (AHA), Osmosis has chosen a different path. Dr. Ben Johnson saw early on that it was more effective at reducing inflammation, one of the biggest causes of skin aging. Every day, the skin is exposed to free radicals , which means that molecules lose an atom and become unstable. These unstable molecules then steal from healthy cells and create a domino effect of inflammation in the skin. Osmosis' philosophy is therefore based on strengthening the skin's own ability to heal itself through dermal restructuring, barrier and DNA repair, and detox.
